Back to ‘the goold old days’ with the interior of Barbier Pourbaix
Have you always wondered what our furniture inside a building looks like? At Barbier Pourbaix, my son’s barbershop, you can admire several showpieces.
Some pieces from the barber shop have stood in downtown Frankfürt for as many as three generations. The furniture no longer had succession there, so we bought it to give it a new life. The pieces had tremendous emotional value for the last owners. Therefore, they later came specially to the barber shop in Ghent to see the furniture in its new setting.
Another unique piece in this case is this bench (see photo on the left). It stood in the police court when the gendarmerie (police) still existed. We were fortunate to buy it from a police officer.
